According to Chongqing Daily Wechat Public No. 2, November 2, Comrade Mu Hongyu (female) was appointed member of the Chongqing Municipal Committee, Standing Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Discipline Commission of the CPC with the approval of the CPC Central Committee.

Born in August 1963, Mu Hongyu is a female cadre from Yiyuan, Shandong Province. She holds a masters degree in law. She worked in July 1984 and joined the Communist Party of China in July 1984.
