Foreign media started the new MacBook Air: the screen has become the biggest bright spot.

Netease Technologies News October 31, according to foreign media reports, Apple announced the long-awaited new MacBook Air at the new product launch in New York in the fall of 2008. The new MacBook Air has a new design and experience, high-resolution screen, USB-C interface and TouchID features. Overall, the Air is very similar to the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro laptop that was released two years ago, but it is designed to be smaller with careful adjustments, making it a landmark MacBook Air.

The new MacBook Air debuted on the stage at the Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, and Apple took us to a product showroom to get a close look at the new machine. It does look very much like MacBookPro, but the product is so thin that it makes a big difference in its overall sense. I can quite understand why Apple calls it MacBook Air - because thats how it feels.

The biggest highlight is its screen. At least it is really great compared with the old MacBookAir. The new MacBookAir features a full retina display with a resolution equal to 13 inches MacBookPro. The narrower frame makes the computer more portable, but it is not as cramped as the small MacBook sometimes. The border of MacBookAir is black, and the whole screen looks like a smooth glass. In short, it is similar to the screen of MacBookpro.

The new MacBook Air uses Apples third generation butterfly keyboard, which has an ultra-small stroke, but is quieter and more dust-proof than the old MacBook pro. Over the past two years, MacBookpro has encountered some major keyboard problems in its initial and subsequent runs, and Air has fine-tuned them to try to solve them. It still sounds strange, but I need to put it in a quiet room to really understand the sound.

As users expect, the new MacBookAir technology level is first-class. Like the new Macmini, the product is made from 100% recycled aluminum, the first Apple laptop to use 100% recycled aluminum. With one finger, you can easily open the screen, while the touchpad on the other side is very large. The new MacBookAir also has two USB-C ports configured to support the thunderbolt 3 interface. In addition, Air also has a headphone jack.

I didnt have a chance to test TouchID, but Im glad to see that Apple found it to be the best part of the MacBook Pro TouchBar, with Air retaining TouchID and the corresponding T2 chip. The TouchID area is more like buttons than you can see on MacBookPro.

MacBook Air has not been redesigned for eight years, the last time back in 2010, when it was redesigned eight years ago that pushed the laptop to a top-notch position, forcing all other PC makers to compete to launch their own ultra-thin laptops. Over the past five years or so, the MacBook Air has looked increasingly stagnant as many laptops have started using high-resolution displays with touch screens and novel shapes.

Apple is not completely on its feet. Since then, it has released smaller MacBook and thinner MacBookPro. The two laptop computers start at a price of $1299, while the MacBookAir starts at a price of $999. But the price of the new MacBookAir is not so low, and the selling price is $1199.

At this price, the new MacBook Air comes with a 1.6GHz Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD hard drive. It supports 16GBs RAM memory and 1.5TBs SSD hard disk at most. All models of MacBookAir are equipped with Intels eighth generation processor. Well soon have a more comprehensive price analysis and comparison of the new MacBook Air and other laptops, but my initial impression was that although I thought the computer was worth $199, I still wondered if the price was too high. But if you want to know the answer to this question, the only real way is to wait for its sales. (Han Bing) source: NetEase science and technology report editor: Wang Fengzhi _NT2541
