Jiang Peng, chief engineer and researcher of FAST at the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that after two years of intensive debugging, several indicators of FAST exceeded expectations. So far, 53 pulsars and 60 high-quality candidates have been found. From the debugging progress, FAST has reached the national acceptance standards in the sensitivity, system noise, pointing accuracy and other key technical indicators.
