Korean media: Korea and North Korea have completed the disarmament check of the joint garrison area.

On October 26, the ROK and the DPRK held their 10th military talks at the Unification Pavilion on the Korean side of Panmunjom. The ROK and the DPRK indicated that the ground, sea and air hostilities would cease from November 1. As a demonstration, the ROK and the DPRK agreed to complete the withdrawal of 11 forward surveillance posts and equipment by the end of November, and to conduct mutual checks in December to complete all relevant work within the year. Taking this demonstration as an opportunity, the ROK and the DPRK indicated that follow-up consultations would continue to promote the mutual removal of all surveillance posts. In addition, the ROK and DPRK military also said that in order to protect the free navigation of civil ships near the Hanjiang estuary, the ROK and DPRK will form a joint investigation mission in early November to conduct field investigations on the navigation routes in the relevant waters. The establishment of the Korean and Korean military common committee has also indicated that it will push ahead with the implementation as soon as possible.
