The company was once a fuel tank manufacturer in Wuhu, Anhui Province, supporting Chery Automobile, and later went public in marriage with a web game company. According to people familiar with the matter, the marriage between them is very magical.

In 2009, the company began to operate on the stock market, but the approval of the SFC was slow. In the autumn of 2010, Chen Shulong took the opportunity to travel to Beijing and took the person in charge of the company. In the second half of 2013, the company planned to acquire the equity of a game network technology company in Shanghai for asset restructuring, which will be submitted to the SFC for approval. According to the reorganization plan announced in October 2013, the company intends to buy 60% of the Shanghai company at a 26-fold premium of 1.92 billion yuan.

According to media reports at that time, the reorganization reached the standard of backdoor listing. The Shanghai companys 60% shareholder equity valuation is 1.927 billion yuan, accounting for 233.96% of the Wuhu companys total audited assets in 2012; in 2012, the Shanghai companys operating income was 587 million yuan, accounting for 190.02% of the Wuhu companys operating income in 2012. In December 2014 and December 2015, Wuhu Company acquired 60% and 40% of Shanghai Company respectively, with a total purchase price of nearly 5 billion yuan.
