At present, many sales offices collect the face information of customers through the method of unconscious recognition, which obviously does not inform the parties individually or obtain the explicit consent of the parties. Therefore, it is not necessary and legitimate to recognize the face information, which belongs to the illegal collection of personal information.

The personal information security specification for information security technology, which was implemented on October 1, this year, further clarifies that before collecting personal biometric information, the personal information subject should be informed of the purpose, method and scope of personal biometric information collection and use, as well as the storage time, and obtain the explicit consent of the personal information subject.
