Protecting data security and promoting the healthy development of data economy are the concerns of all countries in the world. China believes that effective response to data security risk challenges should adhere to multilateralism, give consideration to security and development, and adhere to fairness and justice. The Chinese government launched the global data security initiative on September 8 this year. President Xi Jinping once again stressed at the fifteenth summit of leaders of the group of twenty (G20) that China is willing to explore global digital governance rules with all parties on the basis of the global data security initiative to jointly promote global digital governance and jointly create a digital destiny community. China has always opposed throwing dirty water on other countries in the name of the so-called clean network and hunting leading enterprises in other countries on the pretext of security. Data security issues should not be politicized, double standards, or even rumors. This goes against the basic norms of international relations and seriously interferes with global digital cooperation and development.
We are firmly opposed to the US personnels efforts to generalize the concept of national security, suppress the strength of Chinas science and technology enterprises, and discredit Chinas image without any concrete evidence.
China and Mexico are comprehensive strategic partners, and the two sides have good cooperation in telecommunications, e-commerce and other fields. It is believed that all walks of life in Mexico will not be blinded and exploited by false statements, and will make their own judgments and decisions based on the national data security and the healthy development of digital economy and the promotion of global digital governance, so as to contribute to jointly building a global community of digital destiny.
