Christine brown, founder and director of Rodin, a local non-profit organization that sponsors Rodin, said: when Jorge first proposed the idea, it was to paint a Kobe Bryant mural on the school basketball court, and I immediately fell in love with the idea because Kobe was a competitor. Kobe often talks about the need for sacrifice and hard work. This mentality will make the children in school go further. I like to spread this idea to the whole school in this way. We even incorporated Kobes famous sayings into the schools teaching plan
Brown also said Rodins mural is the largest Kobe mural he can find in the world, and the second largest known one, 39 feet (11.9 meters), was created in a primary school in Bosnia.
The headmaster of this high school also praised Rodins creation: the spirit of Kobe reflects the thought we are trying to instill into our students every day, that is, hard work and perseverance. It also shows our students the power and Inspiration of art in the whole community.
