According to Taiwan media, Zhang Yi, founder of the glass workshop and best director of the Golden Horse Award, died on November 1 at the age of 69, Netease Entertainment reported on November 19.

It is understood that Zhang Yi, who suffered from blood transfusion infection after heart surgery last month, kept going to hospital for two years and eventually died. His wife, Yang Huishan, had previously issued a statement through the glass workshop confirming the news of his death.

On the morning of November 19, relatives held a family memorial ceremony for Zhang Yi. His body was cremated in Taipeis second funeral home. Yang Huishan, who had been with him for nearly 40 years, also appeared for the first time after the incident. Even though she was wearing sunglasses and a mask, she still looked sad.

On November 20, the memorial ceremony of love never too late will be held at the Taipei Taoist temple in Foguang mountain.

Zhang Yis family members told the media in a low-key manner today that they hoped that the outside world would not disturb Yang Huishan because of her poor state in the past two days, and hoped that the memorial meeting of Zhang Yi would be held on the 20th. The staff of the etiquette club also said that they would not speak to the public, but confirmed that the family members adopted the Buddhist ceremony to send Zhang Yi the last leg of his life.
