In September, Chinas power battery installed capacity increased significantly.

According to the statistics released by real lithium research, the total installed capacity of lithium battery in Chinas electric vehicle market in September was 6.47 GWH, up 53.53% year-on-year.

Among them, Ningde era (300750. SZ) still ranks first in the market, with an installed capacity of 2.89gwh, accounting for 44.7% of the domestic market share.

BYD (002594. SZ) installed 1.07 GWH of power batteries in September, an increase of 110.75% year-on-year, and a market share of 16.54%, returning to the second place long lost. Among them, the installed capacity of LiFePO4 battery was 509.44mwh, an increase of 82.97% over the previous month.

With 692.39mwh installed capacity, LG Chemical fell from the second place to the third place, with a market share of 10.7%.

Since April, LG Chemical has been the second largest power battery installed in China in a single month due to the sales of Tesla, and BYD is in the third place.

According to Zhenli research, the production of Tesla Model 3 equipped with LG Chemical NCM ternary batteries in September decreased by 682 vehicles compared with last month. This led to a month on month decrease of about 3.6% in LG Chemicals installed capacity, which was the first month on month decline this year.

According to the different cathode materials, lithium batteries can be divided into ternary batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries. These are the two most commonly used lithium-ion power batteries for electric vehicles. The former has high energy density and strong endurance, while the latter has good safety and low cost.

Due to the lower price of LiFePO4 battery, Tesla using this type of battery will be cheaper than the previous ternary battery.

On October 1, Tesla Chinas official website showed that the price of the upgraded version of the model 3 standard made in China was 249900 yuan after subsidy. This is nearly 30% lower than the initial price of 355800 yuan (without subsidy).

According to the calculation of Societe Generale Securities, the subsequent domestic model 3 price is expected to drop to 220000-230000 yuan.

The battery system energy density of this model is 125wh / kg, and the range is about 468km. It has been listed in the seventh batch of recommended models for new energy vehicle promotion and application this year.

In September, AVIC Lithium Battery Co., Ltd. achieved a larger market share.

In the same month, AVIC lithium battery installed 476.9 MWh, accounting for 7.37% of the market share, ranking fourth, the same as last month, but the market share increased by 2.05 percentage points compared with the previous month.

The batteries produced by AVIC lithium battery include NCM ternary battery and lithium iron phosphate battery.

The companys ternary battery customers mainly include Changan group, Geely Group, geometry automobile group and GAC group; lithium iron phosphate battery customers are mainly Jinlong automobile group, which provides batteries for Jinlong bus.

In the fierce competition of the market share concentration of the leading enterprises, every one percentage point increase in the market share of the second and third echelon enterprises means that they have to squeeze out other suppliers.

In September, Wanxiang 123co., Ltd., Beijing Keyi Power Technology Co., Ltd., Huating (Changzhou) Power Technology Co., Ltd. and Yinlong new energy Co., Ltd. dropped out of the top 20; honeycomb Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Weihong power system (Huzhou) Co., Ltd. re entered the top 20, and Suzhou Yuliang Battery Co., Ltd. entered the top 20 for the first time.

Among the 49 home appliance core enterprises that achieved installation in the same month, the top 20 battery cell suppliers accounted for 98.95% of the total installed capacity.

In the first nine months, Chinas power battery installed 34.26gwh, down 19.86% year-on-year.

Among them, Ningde eras installed capacity was 16.07 GWH, accounting for 46.89%, ranking first; BYDs installed capacity was 4.9 GWH, accounting for 14.29%, ranking second; LG Chemicals installed capacity was 4.79 GWH, accounting for 1, accounting for 3.98%, ranking the third. The total installed capacity of the three companies accounted for 75.17%.

In the first nine months, the installed capacity of ternary batteries was 23.57 GWH, accounting for 68.78% of all batteries. The installed capacity of LiFePO4 battery is 10.51gwh, accounting for 30.67%.
