Niu Zhenhua is in the regiment health team. There is no such thing as the rear. He rescues with the army in the front. During the day, under the close surveillance and bombing of the US air force, the volunteers are difficult to move, and they always operate at night. I once had a meal in the afternoon. I felt that the angle of the attack of the plane shell was not straight down. I felt that it was OK to hide in the corner of the house and not go to the air raid shelter. As a result, six or seven minutes later, four or five bombers came and dropped bombs more than ten meters away from the house. The house was blown up at once, and there was no way out for the dust and smoke around. The table in the room was against the wall, and I was under it, and then I felt it out
Niu Zhenhua was deeply impressed by a Korean woman he met while searching for an air raid shelter. At that time, I found the air raid shelter only when I heard her shouting. After I went in, I asked her how she could speak Chinese. She was full of tears and choked for several minutes before she spoke. I only knew that she was a comfort woman in the Japanese army. During the march in North Korea, Niu Zhenhua seldom saw young people, most of them old people.
Niu Zhenhua returned to Tianjin in June 1951, just in time for the army to select pilots. At that time, we didnt have pilots. We asked Soviet experts to train pilots in Jinzhou. At that time, the selection of pilots in the army did not complete the task, but I was selected by the cadres. Niu Zhenhuas affinity with flight foreshadows his entry into the sports system. In 1956, Liu Shaoqi visited the Soviet Union, and the Soviet Union established the national defense Sports Association. After coming back, we also established the national defense Sports Association. Under the national defense Sports Association, there were aviation clubs to engage in international and domestic competitions, including flying, parachuting, and gliding. I was in charge of flying in the aviation department, until the merger with the Sports Commission in 1958.
Zhang Jinzhong: make peoples life happier
Zhang Jinzhong, born in April 1938, entered the DPRK as a member of the Chinese peoples Volunteer Army in February 1957. After joining the army, we directly took him to North Korea. When we got on the train, we knew we wanted to go to North Korea. When we got off the train in North Korea, we pulled the car to about 10 kilometers north of the 38th line, and stationed troops there. As a new recruit, I have military training for about three months. Mentioning the extraordinary years of entering the dynasty, Zhang Jinzhong calmly told the story.
At that time, although there was a truce, there were often minor frictions. For example, we stand guard at night. Now our Sentry is usually one person, and it cant be done at that time. I have to stand back to back when I stand guard. Maybe Ill get rid of it. The enemy doesnt know from which side to touch it. Its very dangerous. Some people will be gone the next day. Zhang Jinzhong said, North Korea is in the area north of the 38th parallel, which is full of mountains. Our volunteer barracks are built in the middle of various gullies. The conditions are very difficult. There are stones everywhere. We built barracks with stones ourselves. There is nothing else. For example, when drinking water, there is no water to drink except for soup when eating, let alone boiling water.
After the training of the new soldiers, Zhang returned to China to continue his study of radio communication and reconnaissance. A year later, all the Chinese peoples volunteer forces evacuated North Korea and returned to China. Zhang Jinzhong stayed at home and continued to serve as a correspondent. In 1960, Zhang Jinzhong came to work with the former National Sports Commission and participated in national defense sports. He said: at that time, national defense Sports Association was established, and sports items of all kinds of military were reflected in it. Radio Club, navigation club, aviation club and so on, I was in radio direction finding team of Radio Club. At that time, our national defense sports were very common, and it was very popular for teenagers to cultivate military awareness and project training. All three major types of military forces, land, sea and air, were very lively, which was of great significance to our country to raise national defense awareness and train reserve military personnel at that time.
In May 1998, Zhang Jinzhong retired as an assistant inspector of the planning and Finance Department of the former State Sports Commission. Talking about the current construction of a sports power, Zhang Jinzhong said: now our countrys sports industry is booming and getting better and better, which also has a great impact on improving the national reputation. As a new generation of sports people, we must follow the general secretary Xi Jinpings request, continue to do sports well, the country is stronger and stronger, sports must be stronger and stronger, so that peoples lives are happier.
Jia Junde, who was born in September 1936, was a student of No.35 Middle School in Beijing before joining the army. He recalled: after the beginning of anti US aggression and aid Korea, my Chinese teacher and class teacher taught us Wei Weis who is the most lovely person in class for a week. The students were excited and expressed their willingness to join the Chinese peoples Volunteer Army to resist US aggression and aid Korea Defend the motherland and contribute to our youth. At this time, the head of the cultural engineering corps of the 68th army of the volunteer army went to Beijing to recruit new recruits and select people from various cultural centers. As my family lived near the fourth cultural center in Qianmen district at that time, I often participated in some activities, so I was selected and became a glorious volunteer recruit.
In July 1953, Jia Junde, as a member of the cultural engineering group of the 68th army of the Chinese peoples Volunteer Army, crossed the Yalu River and arrived in North Korea in a stuffy tanker. The experience of tempering blood and fire made Jia Junde unforgettable. At that time, there were often American reconnaissance planes to investigate. We had anti-aircraft artillery positions. When the reconnaissance planes came, we would fire anti-aircraft guns at the same time. The sky was full of small white flowers. Bold soldiers went out of the tunnel to see. Im a soldier of literature and art. The army trained me to play Cello and take part in some performances, such as getting together with the Korean peoples army. We all went to participate, and on behalf of the military Party committee, we sent banners to the heroic troops who had made contributions.
Jia Junde said: in fact, I am just an ordinary recruit in the Korean volunteer army, but my unit is a heroic force. When it comes to the surprise attack of the white tiger regiment , the whole nation should know that the captured regiment flag is still on display in the military museum. It is a great honor for me to be in such a heroic army, and I will always pay tribute to these heroes.
Jia Junde came to the former State Sports Commission in 1986 and retired from the post of executive deputy secretary of the Party committee in 1998. He said: the times are developing very fast. I have retired for more than 20 years. Sometimes I feel that I cant keep up with the rapid development and changes of the country. However, I think, regardless of how the society develops, the most fundamental thing about the mission of sports people is what Chairman Mao Zedong said Developing sports and enhancing peoples physique, general secretary Xi Jinping recently issued the call to speed up the construction of our country into a sports power. We should follow Chairman Maos teachings and carry forward the spirit of our old sports people under the leadership of general secretary Xi Jinping, and make our sports career more magnificent and stronger.
Guo Jinling: joining the army changed my life
Young Guo Jinlings obsession is to be a soldier wholeheartedly, to fight the enemy in the battlefield, and to be a soldier. In order to be a soldier, he made all his efforts, embarked on a new journey of life, experienced the end of the war against US aggression and aid Korea, and entered the sports system. Guo Jinling, the 82 year old former deputy director of the Supervision Bureau of the State Sports Commission, recalls the past and sighs about his life.
Guo Jinling was originally an accountant of an agricultural society. He was selected as the representative of the right age youth of the township government. He participated in the Youth Congress of the right age held by the county government. After the mobilization of the meeting was over, he wrote a blood letter resolutely to be a soldier to show his will. Finally, he passed the physical examination before he joined the army. He joined the army in December 1956, and in January 1957, he crossed the Yalu River to aid Korea in a muggy tanker pretending to contain sorghum rice. During the inspection, we were afraid that we would make a sound, so we opened our backpacks to cover ourselves and did not dare to make any noise. Thats how we got to North Korea.
After arriving in North Korea, Guo Jinling thought that he would go to the battlefield and was ready to sacrifice. At that time, I went with the belief of a life and death. I didnt know that the war had been stopped. When he went there, he usually conducted combat readiness training in the recruits company to guard against the U.S. counterattack and to support the Korean people in peace building. Once we said that the secret service had come, but we didnt catch it. Guo Jinlings most regretful thing is that he didnt participate in the battle. Although he won many honors in his later life, he always regretted that he didnt have military achievements.
Recalling his days in North Korea, Guo Jinling still remembers that he was so nervous that he shivered when he spoke on behalf of all the recruits in the recruits company. I also played a drama in the recruits company called catching up with the United States and Britain. I played the British Prime Minister and wore a paper hat. I also designed a deliberate fall when China chased us, which made everyone laugh. I fell down and fainted when I was practicing parallel bars in combat readiness training. Fortunately, I woke up after one hour and forty minutes. Since then, I have the sequelae of dizziness from time to time. I often wrestle
In June 1971, the whole army selected and transferred troops to the sports system. Guo Jinling was selected by the military region to come to the Sports Commission. At that time, there were two tasks: one was to restore the training of the sports team; the other was to provide a team for the leaders who came back from the reform of the garrison. After finishing the task, I should have returned to the army, but at that time, the Party group of the State Sports Commission mobilized me to stay. After thinking about it, I decided to stay and serve as the deputy leader of the national volleyball team
Joining the army has changed my life. I am a cadre promoted in the army. My fate was changed in the army, and then I entered the sports system Guo Jinling said.
Fu Shengcai: peace is not easy to cherish
Fu Shengcai, 92, was the former director of the second foreign aid office of China Sports International Economic and Technological Cooperation Corporation before he retired. He was also a veteran who had experienced many battles, participated in the war to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea, and experienced the baptism of war. In March 1951, Fu Shengcais troops crossed the Yalu River to Korea. Everywhere they went, they saw the devastation brought about by the war. As soon as we crossed the Yalu River, there were shells everywhere, and we changed from peace to war. After walking for more than 20 days, all the places are still ruins.
In 1952, Fu Shengcais 15th army took part in the historic Shangganling campaign. As a member of the field working group, Fu Shengcai participated in the battle for 43 days in Shangganling. He assisted the Political Department of the 45th division to re select and replenish forces under the banner of steel eighth company for five times, and persisted in the battle until the final victory.
Fu Shengcai was deeply impressed by the tragedy of the war. At the beginning of October, the battle of Shangganling began. In the face of the continuous attack of the enemy, the garrison of the 15th army where Fu Shengcai was located fought tenaciously, and the enemy and ourselves formed a saw saw like struggle. During the day, the enemy used a large number of troops to carry out large group attacks and occupied the surface positions of our army. At night, our army fought back and recaptured the position with the cooperation of tunnel troops. On October 19, the 45th division made a decision to spare no effort to recapture the position.. Make full preparation, attack with all strength, and win all the Highlands after fierce battle
However, it is not yet time to taste the taste of winning the highlands. On October 20, under the cover of more than 30 bombers, more than 300 large caliber guns and more than 40 tanks, the US South Korean army launched a crazy counter attack on our army, fighting for more than 40 times. As our army suffered too many casualties and could not supply enough ammunition, they had to turn into tunnels and continue to fight.
Tunnel fighting is the beginning of hard work. The close blockade of the enemys artillery nearly cut off the supply of soldiers. Grain and ammunition could not be supported, the wounded could not be evacuated, and the bodies of martyrs could not be buried. The lack of air made the situation extremely difficult. There was a serious water shortage in the tunnel. Biscuits were too dry to eat. Some soldiers drank urine. On the top and wall of the tunnel, water is poured out. Some people lick and suck a little with their mouths.
On November 5, the 45th division, full of gunpowder, withdrew from the battle and its defense was replaced by the 31st division of the 12th army. The 45th Division has been fighting in Shangganling for 23 days and nights. The arduous tunnel struggle has greatly destroyed the soldiers bodies. When they walked out of the tunnel, many people suffered from color blindness, night blindness and rheumatism, while more soldiers stayed in Shangganling forever.
Wu Lucheng: the spirit of heroes inspires us
Why did I take part in the war against U.S. aggression and aid Korea? I escaped twice. The Japanese invade our hometown, and we suffered a lot. So I said that we should never let future generations suffer from this kind of suffering. In such a large country, with a population of more than 400 million, the Japanese devils have broken up our country. Join the army Wu Lucheng, a former researcher of the International Department of the National Sports Commission, was born in August 1924. At that time, he was the second student of East China revolutionary University (now Shanghai Foreign Studies University). After the anti US aggression and aid Korea began in 1951, Wu Lucheng responded to the call of the state and resolutely joined the Chinese peoples Volunteer Army as a college student. After going to Korea, Wu Lu became a member of the Chinese task force for North Korea because of his professional knowledge of English. He served as an English translator in the 15th army of the volunteer army.
Referring to the decision at that time, Wu Lucheng, 96, was still very excited. He said, my father died when I was two years old, and my mother worked very hard to raise us up. It is said that I cant leave my mother when I am studying in University. However, as a hot-blooded young man of the country, how can he bear being bullied by the country, escape and suffer again? I say no. I discussed with my brother: if you are at home and I go to Korea, I will go to work in other places and hide from my mother!
Wu Luchengs 15th army was a heroic force in the Shangganling campaign. Huang Jiguang, sun Zhanyuan, Qiu Shaoyun and other heroes emerged in succession. He can still remember the many times he escaped from the battlefield. When the enemy bombed our headquarters, airplanes bombed in the sky like a wheel battle. The guards were more alert and organized us to move to the nearby firewood pile and hide After a robbery. In the fifth campaign and the battle of Shangganling, the conditions of the soldiers were very difficult. Our supplies could not be delivered. The enemys planes bombed indiscriminately. We persisted in defending in the tunnels and finally won the battle.
Wu Lucheng withdrew from the Korean battlefield in 1954 and came to work in the former State Sports Commission in 1965. He also edited English Chinese / Chinese English dictionaries for football, track and field, and shooting, and reviewed comprehensive teaching materials for 28 sports such as table tennis, badminton and basketball. In the past, when we watched other countries raise flags, we could only stare at them. I was very angry and guilty, and felt that we could do more. Now the country is changing from a sports power to a sports power, and our national flag is rising more and more on the international stage. I hope I can do something within my power on the journey of becoming a sports power. I hope I can burn myself and illuminate others with a little bit of power, so that I can live a life without complaint and regret. Wu Lucheng said.
