The Ministry of foreign affairs cited examples to criticize the so-called press freedom in the United States: the United States is the real black hand in restricting press freedom

According to the Washington Post, the United States has been ranked in the 2019 annual press freedom index for three consecutive years. According to the U.S. press freedom tracking system, there were 28 cases in which journalists were refused to participate in public government activities in the United States in 2019 alone. Since the beginning of this year, there have been 23 attacks against journalists in the United States, and 73 journalists have been arrested. There have been more than 868 violations of press freedom during the black life is life protest. Media such as the New York Times, Capitol Hill and the guardian have all reported on the attacks and arrests of journalists in the above activities. From May 26 to June 2, 2020 alone, 148 journalists have been affected. Among them, 40 journalists were shot by bullets, 34 were personally attacked by police, 33 were arrested or detained, and even a female photographer was hit in the left eye by a rubber bullet, resulting in permanent blindness. In January of this year, the US National Public Broadcasting Corporation disclosed that US Secretary of state pompeio made provocative and contemptuous personal attacks on a female reporter of the station because of his dissatisfaction with the question raised by a female reporter, and rudely removed the station from his accompanying media list. The U.S. government denounces news reports that are not in line with their own preferences as false news. I believe that the New York Times and other American bodies have already experienced this. The guardian quoted American commentators as saying that the current US government has carried out the most persistent attack on press freedom in history.
