According to relevant data, 50% of auto parts manufacturing is related to the Chinese market, and the worlds major auto parts giants have invested and built factories in China. However, due to the birth of a new round of technological revolution, the wave of new four modernizations in the industry is surging, and the existing global automobile industry chain pattern is also facing restructuring. The so-called new four modernizations refer to electrification, intellectualization, networking and sharing.
On October 21, the 2020 China Automobile Supply Chain Conference jointly sponsored by China Automobile Industry Association and Xian municipal government was officially held. Guests and representatives from national ministries and commissions, industry associations and relevant enterprises upstream and downstream of the industry held in-depth discussions on the above issues, and jointly put forward suggestions and suggestions for the construction of a safe and controllable automobile industry chain.
The scale of Chinas automobile supply chain is huge
Fu Bingfeng said that during the 13th Five Year Plan period, Chinas automobile industry has made great progress and maintained a healthy and stable development, among which the auto parts industry has played an important supporting role.
To change the annual meeting of auto parts industry into automobile supply chain conference is not only a change in terms, but also an essential improvement in our understanding of the law of industrial development and our ability to promote industrial development. Wu Wei, director of the Machinery Department of the Industrial Development Department of the national development and Reform Commission, believes that the automobile industry chain is long and has a strong driving role. However, from a deeper perspective, it involves problems of systematization and internationalization.
New four modernizations
Bring opportunities and challenges
Compared with previous conferences, this years conference has been renamed, which has aroused further attention in the industry. The most important reason is that the new four modernizations have changed the existing pattern of the industry and accelerated the reform of the automobile supply chain. Everyone is very concerned about the trend and opportunities of the industry in the next step. A participant who did not want to be named told the securities times that in the process of great changes in the industry, every participant in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain is facing transformation.
Obviously, this transformation is accelerating the fission of the original automobile supply chain system. Luo Junmin, Deputy Secretary General of China Automobile Industry Association, said that in order to comply with the trend of four modernizations and aim at core technologies, the global automobile supply chain is undergoing deep structural adjustment, and major auto parts giants have invested heavily in new four modernizations technology. At the same time, a large number of new technology companies are competing to form cross-border integration with the industry.
In Luo Junmins view, the trend of new four modernizations not only provides opportunities but also challenges for automobile supply chain system. One of the core is to accelerate the restructuring of the automotive supply chain, the traditional auto parts enterprises are experiencing the biggest and most difficult transformation and upgrading pain in history.
It is reported that at present, more than 90% of Chinas auto parts enterprises are small and medium-sized enterprises, among which there are more than 13700 large-scale parts enterprises. The reporter learned that, with the trend of new four modernizations coming, most of the traditional parts enterprises are facing shrinking business and their benefits are rapidly declining. At the same time, due to financing difficulties and other problems, some enterprises can not keep up with the pace of transformation and upgrading, and are facing elimination.
Some people in the industry believe that the low efficiency of transformation is the direct reason for the elimination of some parts enterprises. However, the most fundamental obstacle lies in the technical weakness of the industrial chain.
Fu Bingfeng also said that facing the future, it is necessary for the automobile supply chain to carry out innovation and development closely around electrification and intelligence, overcome the core technology and solve the neck sticking problem, so as to accelerate the cross-border integration of industries and seize the development opportunities.
Ensure the safety and stability of the industrial chain
In addition to the existing technical bottleneck of the industrial chain itself, many industry experts also talked about the safety problems faced by the automobile supply chain under the new situation. For example, after novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, international trade circulation is hindered. This also brings risks to the domestic automobile supply chain. Meanwhile, in the post epidemic era, trade unilateralism will continue to affect the international automobile supply chain pattern and influence the domestic automobile supply chain.
Chen Bin, executive vice president of the China Federation of machinery industry, said that at present, the international situation is facing profound changes. The world economy is in a downturn, and unilateralism and trade protectionism are prevailing, which have a great impact on the political and economic development of various countries. Chinas economic and social development is at the end of the 13th five year plan and the beginning of the 14th five year plan, but it is also facing many difficulties and challenges. When the international environment is unstable and uncertain factors are increasing, it is necessary for Chinas automobile supply chain security to be put on the agenda.
In his view, accelerating the development of parts enterprises and pushing them to the middle and high-end level of the value chain is the key to building a safe and controllable automobile supply chain. At the same time, the safety of the supply chain is also the fundamental to ensure the healthy development of the automobile industry.
So, in the current industrial structure, how to build a safe and controllable automobile supply chain system? Wu Wei said that ensuring the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain is one of the important measures proposed by the central government on the basis of six stability this year, which is particularly important for the automobile industry. In his view, to stabilize the automobile industry chain and supply chain, we need to take the circulation of the domestic unified market as the main body, and can not be limited to a certain regional market.
Bi Jiyao, vice president of China Macroeconomic Research Institute, believes that under the background of the increasingly obvious characteristics of the accelerated evolution of the worlds great changes, it is increasingly difficult to achieve overall development. Only by fully ensuring the security of the industrial chain supply chain can we effectively smooth the national economic cycle and effectively promote the domestic and international dual circulation.
In addition, some industry experts pointed out that the security of automobile supply chain cannot be guaranteed without the support of government departments. Fu Bingfeng said that the national innovation system has also played an important role in the security of the automobile supply chain.
It is reported that at present, the state has provided various financial support for the problems existing in the automobile supply chain, such as the advanced manufacturing industry investment fund led by the national development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of industry and information technology, and the Ministry of finance, etc., which are playing a leading role in investment. Fu Bingfeng believes that the participation of these funds will promote enterprises to produce more innovative achievements and effectively promote the high-quality development of Chinas automobile industry chain.
