Foreign media: India successfully test launched intrepid supersonic tactical missile

The times of India quoted a source as saying that the new missile can hit a target at a distance of about 800 km. It has been successfully tested and will be used as a supplement to the existing similar missiles and be equipped with strategic forces.

The source pointed out that the missile flew at hypersonic speed in the final stage of approaching the target. The new missiles will be lighter and easier to operate than the existing ones.

On September 30, Indias Ministry of Defense announced that it successfully launched an extended range version of the Brahmos supersonic cruise missile, which can hit targets more than 400 kilometers away. Brahmos is a supersonic cruise missile jointly developed by India and Russia. It can be launched by land, sea and air. The missile has been used in Indian army, navy and air force.
