In an interview with Xinhua News Agency reporters at the scene, Egyptian Minister of tourism and cultural relics Khalid anani said that this is an important archaeological discovery in the Saqqara area. The unearthed wooden coffins are well preserved, and there are still some wooden coffins waiting to be excavated in the site.

When unearthed, they were completely sealed and the surface of the wooden coffins was painted. At the same time as the wooden coffin, there are also some statues of ancient Egyptian gods.
In 2019, 30 wooden coffins were unearthed from a single tomb in Luxor, southern Egypt.
