On the day before the eight day National Day Mid Autumn Festival holiday, subway passenger flow across the country reached a peak, setting a new high after the epidemic and surpassing the same period last year.
At present, there are 38 cities in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, the same below). Foshan Metro is connected with Guangzhou Metro, and the passenger flow is included in Guangzhou Metro.
According to the research on metro passenger flow and transportation by blogger @ Niu, on September 30, the total passenger flow of subway in 37 cities nationwide was 77.44 million, which was higher than 76.235 million on September 30 last year. The passenger flow of subway has fully recovered to the level before the epidemic.
Data show that on September 30, the subway passenger flow in 26 cities reached a new peak since the epidemic, accounting for 70% of the total number of metro cities in China, namely Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Tianjin, Zhengzhou, Shenyang, Suzhou, Nanning, Hefei, Changchun, Nanchang, Ningbo, Dalian, Fuzhou, Shijiazhuang, Wuxi, Harbin, Dongguan, Guiyang, Changzhou, Xuzhou and Urum Qi, Hohhot, Jinan and Wenzhou.
Seven of the above cities not only reached the highest level of passenger flow after the epidemic, but also reached a record high, namely Chengdu, Chongqing, Xian, Hangzhou, Changsha, Kunming and Lanzhou. The previous historical high value appeared at the end of the year, the day before May 1 and the day before the national day.
According to the Guangzhou Metro, on September 30, the total passenger traffic volume of Guangzhou metro network reached 10.39 million, which was the first time since the outbreak of the epidemic to break through the 10 million mark, 263 days before the last 10 million passenger flow.
At the same time, on the day before the national day, the passenger flow of Shanghai and Beijing Metro exceeded 10 million, that of Shenzhen Metro was 6.19 million, that of Chengdu Metro was 5.55 million, and that of Chongqing, Nanjing, Wuhan and Xian exceeded 3 million.
Among the major cities in China, only Shanghai, Shenzhen, Qingdao and Xiamen did not reach a new high after the epidemic on September 30, but it was also quite close to the same period last year. Among them, Xiamen was still the highest in the working days after the epidemic.
Since the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia in January this year, the passenger flow of the subway has dropped to freezing point. On January 30 this year, the total passenger flow of subway in China was only more than 10 million, less than 20% of the daily passenger flow. From February to March, the passenger flow of subway is still low.
With the gradual recovery of social operation, urban traffic flow is also gradually restored. On May 1, the national passenger flow recovered to 45% of the same period last year, and continued to pick up from June to August. By September 30, with the help of travel stimulation before the 8-day holiday, passenger flow further increased.
A Niu has been tracking the changes of subway passenger flow for a long time, and has statistically analyzed the subway data of all cities in China every day for six consecutive years. Such a bright spot is unexpected because the epidemic has affected for a long time, so we cant imagine it optimistic before the festival. But on the other hand, the result is reasonable. At present, there are only a few imported cases in China. The recovery of passenger flow is the inevitable result of the control of the epidemic situation and the acceleration of economic recovery.
