Suspected Israeli warplanes airstrike Syria, killing 10 people

The report quoted the Syrian human rights watch as saying that the air raid on the armed personnel stronghold in the southern town of Abu Kamal in the eastern Syrian province of daerzur killed eight Iraqis and two Syrians, and destroyed ammunition depots and vehicles. The air raid may have been launched by Israel.

This comes after a suspected Israeli air strike on September 3 killed 16 Iranian backed militia.

In addition to Russia, Iran has been a staunch supporter of the Bashar regime in Syria.

Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011, Israel has been carrying out air strikes on targets in Syria, saying that it is attacking the military targets of Hezbollah and Iran in Syria.
