Learn from the past and learn from the past: why is Miyun Reservoir priceless

Control the Xiaoyao River in the sand bottom of the chafebang River

Governing a country is like harnessing water, and managing water first. Great rivers have always been closely related to the rise and fall of human civilization. A history of Chinese civilization is a history of continuous struggle against floods and droughts, which gave birth to the peaceful ideal of the Chinese people that the sea is clean and the river is clear, and the four seas are peaceful, which determines that water control has become an important part of governing the country and securing the country.

After the founding of new China, people are looking forward to harnessing Chaobai River and eradicating Haihe River. When the two sides of the river meet, they are called the White River. When the two sides of the river meet, they often form a White River.

At the end of June 1958, the Party Central Committee and the State Council decided to build Miyun reservoir. On September 1, 1960, Miyun reservoir was successfully completed, realizing the water conservancy miracle of one year flood detention and two years construction.

By the end of 2019, Miyun reservoir has impounded more than 1000 cubic meters per second, and has accumulated 32.11 million mu of flooded land.

As the largest water conservancy project in North China, Miyun reservoir is an important part of Comrade Mao Zedongs action of we must eradicate the Haihe River. It witnessed the process of eradicating the Haihe River system and changing the old appearance of the Haihe River.

Never forget the well digger

Over the past 60 years, Miyun villagers have made important contributions to the improvement of the capitals ecological environment, from the battle of building Miyun reservoir to closing factories and mines to protect the reservoir.

Shallow mountain out of Pinghu, visible reservoir, nostalgia. Miyun people give up their small home, for the country, strong men broke their arms, and said goodbye to chemical plants, chemical fertilizer plants, cement plants and other industrial and mining enterprises.

Protecting the water of life in the capital does not necessarily restrict development. Miyun has taken a green development road from I want to keep water to I want to keep water.

General secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that the landscape Lin Tian lake is a life community. The lifeblood of man is in Tian, Tians lifeblood is in water, the lifeblood of water is in the mountains, the lifeblood of the mountain is in the soil, the lifeblood of the earth is in the tree.

The construction of water conservation forest has made the forest coverage rate of Miyun more than 70%. Besides the Miyun agriculture brand, the blue sky, clear water, green mountains and clean air have created a vibrant eco-tourism.

Give full play to the advantages of good mountains and good water, Miyun villagers life has become more and more prosperous. Practice has proved that ecological environment protection is not to hinder economic development, but to make room for new kinetic energy.

Jointly protect the green waters and mountains of the motherland

With the economic and social development, water shortage has become the most short board in the development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. The results of investigation and evaluation by the Ministry of ecological environment show that the per capita water resources in Beijing Tianjin Hebei region is only 1 / 9 of the national average level. Since 2000, except for some years, the intensity of water resources development and utilization has exceeded 100%, which is far beyond the international safety limit for water resources development and utilization. About 70% of the rivers have no flow all year round.

There is more water in the South and less in the north of China. It has been the dream of several generations to transfer water across river basins and optimize the allocation of resources. In 2014, the water volume of Miyun Reservoir continued to rise as the south water flowed and the North traveled thousands of miles.

Since the first phase of the middle route of the south to North Water Diversion Project has been open for five years, more than 450 million cubic meters of south water have been transported to Miyun reservoir through the regulation and storage project.

The inter basin water transfer makes the dry Beijing river bed reappear the mighty water waves. In 2020, the amount of water replenishment and Yellow River Diversion of Yongding River in spring will reach the highest in the same period of previous years. For the first time in 40 years, the flow in the gorge section of Yongding River was not stopped, and some springs in Mentougou District began to flow again after 30 years.

General secretary Xi Jinping, when he wrote to Miyun villagers, stressed that the construction of ecological conservation areas should be strengthened and the ecological compensation mechanism should be improved so as to jointly protect the beautiful scenery of the motherland.

The green waters and green mountains of the motherland are inseparable. Chaohe River originates from Fengning, Hebei Province, Baihe River originates from Guyuan, Hebei Province; Yongding River, Daqing River, Ziya River and Zhangweinan Canal originate from Shanxi Province.

From the Yangtze River to the Yellow River, from Fenhe to Huaihe, from Baiyangdian to Miyun reservoir, Xi Jinping, general secretary, is in the heart of all rivers connected to the motherland.

Miyun reservoir is like a mirror, illuminating the history and the future; the Pearl of Yanshan is shining on the crown of the capital of a big country. In the past, two out of every three cups of water in Beijing were Miyun water; today, seven out of every ten cups of water are from the Yangtze River.

One flower, one world, one drop of water, one China. The Yellow River, the sea river, the Huai River and the Yangtze River have merged into the same pulse of the Chinese people.
