Strong typhoon mesak strikes East China Sea and Northeast China to meet strong winds and rainstorms

After bawai, this years No. 9 typhoon mesak has become another northward typhoon. It is also the first super typhoon this year. Affected by it, the three northeast provinces will again experience the strong wind and rain brought by typhoon.

According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, the center of this years No. 9 typhoon mesak (super typhoon level) was located in the southeast of the East China Sea at 5:00 p.m. on the 1st, about 600 kilometers south of Jeju Island in South Korea. It is expected that mesak will move northward at the speed of 15-20 km / h, with little change in intensity; or it will land on the south coast of South Korea around midnight on the 2nd. After landing, the intensity weakened significantly and entered Northeast China from the border of China and North Korea around noon on the 3rd.

Source of typhoon track forecast: Central Meteorological Station

The influence of mesak on China mainly lies in two aspects. On the one hand, from 20:00 on September 1 to 20:00 on September 2, there will be 7-9 Gales in most of the East China Sea, the southern part of the Yellow Sea, the coastal areas of Zhejiang, Hangzhou Bay and the Yangtze River Estuary. Among them, the wind force in the middle and eastern part of the East China Sea will be 10-13, and the wind force in the nearby sea areas where the mesak center passes can reach 14-16 and gusts of force 17 or above. The Central Meteorological Station continued to issue a blue typhoon warning on September 1.

On the other hand, the latest monitoring shows that the mesak is huge, and it will encounter cold air in the north in the process of its later northward movement, which also means that the impact of wind and rain on mesak will be more obvious. It is estimated that heavy to heavy rain will occur in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Eastern Liaoning and northeastern Inner Mongolia from the night of the 2nd to the 4th. The accumulated rainfall in the southwest of Heilongjiang, the West and Central South of Jilin, the northeast of Liaoning and the northeast of Inner Mongolia can reach 100-180 mm. The strongest rainfall period is from the night of 2 days to 3 days.

The National Oceanic forecast released an orange wave warning and a yellow storm surge warning on the 1st. It is estimated that from noon on September 1 to noon on September 2, there will be 8 to 12 meters of wild waves in the east of the East China Sea, 4 to 7 meters in the west of the East China Sea and near Diaoyu Islands, 2.5 to 4 meters in Zhejiang coastal waters, and 2 to 3.4 meters in Shanghai coastal waters.

In terms of storm surge, affected by typhoon, Shanghai Luchaogang, Zhejiang Zhenhai and Zhoushan tide stations will appear around the early morning of the 2nd, reaching the high tide of local yellow warning tide level.

The route is suspended, scenic spots are closed, and river flood warning is given, and typhoon prevention is in full swing

The impact of super typhoon is in many aspects, which can be seen from the response made by various places.

In terms of river impact, due to the overlapping of meisak and Bawei in Songhua River Basin and Wusuli River Basin, the rainfall is large, so the water level of the basin is rising continuously.

At 14:00 on September 1, the water level of Haiqing hydrological station on Wusuli River was 39.93m. According to the future precipitation and the inflow of main and tributaries, it is estimated that the water level of Haiqing hydrological station will reach the blue flood warning standard (39.97m). The Songliao water conservancy commission of the Ministry of water resources issued a blue warning for the flood of the Wusuli River and Haiqing River on the 1st.

Shipping in coastal areas will inevitably be affected. The maritime authorities in Ningbo, Zhoushan and Taizhou in Zhejiang Province issued anti taiwan warnings and declared that the coastal waters under their jurisdiction had entered the category III anti taiwan war. Nine passenger ferry routes along the coast of Ningbo and six passenger ferry routes in Ningbo City have been suspended. At the same time, 29 sea patrol boats and 56 emergency tugboats have been put on standby for typhoon.

Water related projects and some scenic spots have also been closed. Ningbo Meishan 6-10 container terminal project, Jiaxing No.1 wind farm project, Guanbao 50000 DWT wharf project and other 10 key water related projects have been shut down, and construction ships have been evacuated from the construction site; some scenic spots in Zhoushan have been closed, and Zhujiajian Nansha scenic spot, dongshawan bathing beach, wushitang scenic spot and Baishan scenic spot will be closed from September 1 to 2.

Several emergency response start-up in Northeast China and typhoon to seize time for harvest

Although it is expected that the possibility of mesak landing in China is small, the meteorological department said that the impact of wind and rain brought by it may exceed that of Bawei, so we should not take it lightly.

The state flood control headquarters decided to start the level IV emergency response for flood and typhoon prevention at 10:00 on September 1. It is required to closely monitor the development of Typhoon mesak, organize vessels in the affected sea areas to avoid wind and work at sea, and offshore aquaculture personnel to go ashore for refuge in advance, strengthen the safety management of tourism involving sea and island, and highlight the prevention of flood, mountain flood and urban waterlogging caused by typhoon short-term heavy rainfall, so as to ensure the safety of flood control and typhoon prevention u3002

With the typhoon approaching, the wind waves in the East China Sea gradually increased. Zhejiang meteorological station has issued a typhoon warning at sea, and Zhejiang Provincial Department of natural resources launched a level IV emergency response to wave and storm surge disasters at 16:00 on August 31. It is required to do a good job in the safe return of fishing vessels to the port for shelter, the safety management of fishing vessels in Hong Kong, the transfer of offshore breeding personnel, and the timely closure of affected sea related scenic spots and offshore passenger routes.

At this time, crops in Northeast China are mature. The arrival of typhoon will easily lead to crop lodging, farmland waterlogging and other problems, affecting the harvest.

On August 31, the Ministry of agriculture and rural emergency deployment of typhoon defense work, based on the disaster resistance to win a bumper harvest, the prevention of mesak as the primary task of the current agricultural and rural work, and asked the agricultural and rural departments in Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia and other places to implement various defense measures to effectively reduce disaster losses.
