Beijing urban master plan (2016-2035) also clearly points out that it is necessary to build a continuous and safe pedestrian and bicycle network system, protect the right of way for walking and cycling, and create a green transportation environment that can facilitate life without driving. At present, the proportion of cars within 3 km of Beijing is relatively high. It is necessary to provide convenient green transportation environment for residents and change the current situation of residents dependence on cars for short-distance travel. Yang Xinmiao, deputy director of the Transportation Research Institute of Tsinghua University, also said that there have been relatively successful cases of green travel. For example, Haidian District has taken the lead in building Shuangqing Greenway in the east of Qinghua garden. It is located at the south end of Shuangqing greenway and passes through the viaduct hole of Metro Line 13 westward. It crosses to Heqing road and connects with Qinghua new east gate. It provides bicycle and walking conditions. Cars cant be used In the future, the average daily flow is about 20000 person times, which greatly adjusts the travel structure of local residents.
