Frank LaRose, the Republican secretary-general of Ohio, rejected nearly 15000 signed petitions and other election documents submitted by West on the grounds of mismatching documents, so Kan filed a lawsuit against laros on Wednesday, August 26, citing the oppositions efforts to prevent him from running in the presidential election. Kanyes campaign lawyer claims that laros has an obligation to accept any petition against an independent candidate as long as there is no protest against it and it does not violate state law.
Ohio has always been a battleground state in the traditional sense of the US election, but it was in Ohio that trump easily defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Mr. Kan has missed out on a number of key states, including his home state of Illinois and his second home state of Wyoming and Wisconsin. In California, Florida and Pennsylvania, he either missed the deadline for submission or was rejected. But Kanyes name will appear on Arkansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Utah and Vermont.
Kanye West was a staunch supporter of US President Donald Trump until he announced his candidacy last month. Trump Republican manipulators have been accused of helping Mr. Kan get into the election in an attempt to lure young black voters away from his Democratic rival, former Vice President Joe Biden, and he has not denied that.
