Samsung Electronics uses a 5-nanometer process to produce high-throughput snapdragon 875 processor, 5g baseband chip snapdragon X60, and Samsungs own exynos1000 processor.
It has been rumored that Samsungs 5-nanometer process has defects and poor yield, which may lead to the urgent transfer of some orders to TSMC for the sake of insurance. However, the latest report quoted industry sources as saying that the rumor was wrong.
Samsung Electronics disclosed last month that it has started mass production of 5nm chips and is developing a 4nm process.
In the field of chip OEM business, Samsung Electronics is currently ranked second. TSMC ranked first, with a market share of 52% last year.
