These high frequency ranges are not suitable for mobile broadband services. Moreover, after more than a year of fact verification, the actual use of millimeter wave 5g in the United States is not ideal. In Verizons pilot millimeter wave 5g network, even leaves can not penetrate, one tree rule has become a joke in the communication industry.
After finding that millimeter wave is too difficult to be righted, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) publicly acknowledged that millimeter wave in 5g network construction cost is high, radio transmission characteristics are poor, and coverage performance is unsatisfactory. The official also took the initiative to admit that it would no longer insist on using millimeter wave to build 5g, but also use sub-6 band.
Michael kratsios, a white house consultant and chief technology officer, said the FCC would auction 100MHz medium band spectrum for military use from December 2021 to companies such as Verizon communications and at & T, and the US wireless industry would be able to use the spectrum in the summer of 2022.

The four operators in China have obtained corresponding 5g spectrum in the form of administrative allocation, which is the result of investigation and consultation by the Chinese government and regulatory authorities. It has been proved that these frequency bands are very suitable for the needs of the three operators themselves, and are of great benefit to their respective 5g deployment.
With the development of mobile communication technology, spectrum resources are increasingly scarce. GSMA recommends that regulators should avoid leaving spectrum for vertical markets in key frequency bands.
