Xiong Ling: metaphor of pause (2): desire obstruction

The question is, why cant we say what we want, and why do we need to pursue and pause? I am blind to this question. But I always think speciously: people have the impulse to stop, and behind it is the surging desire for perfection, the infatuation for the sense of certainty, the quest for stability... Behind this is the constant fear of many insecurity. The pain of peoples experience is precisely because they are trapped in the infinite cycle of pursuing stability but always uncertain, pursuing a sense of control but always out of control. When we need to pause, and when we can, may depend on the quality of our satisfaction with our desires.
