The survey report is an update of the trust survey report 2020 released in January this year, involving 11 countries including Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States, and each country collects 1200 public opinions. According to Edelmans calculation, 1% to 49% of trust is considered distrust, 50% to 59% is neutral, and 60% to 100% is trust.

The survey also showed that American peoples trust in their government increased by 9 percentage points compared with January, but still only 48%, ranking second to last among the respondents. In the United States, Republican voters trust the federal government more than Democratic voters, and voters of both parties trust local government more.

Judging from the global situation, peoples trust in the government reached 65%, an increase of 11 percentage points compared with January. Compared with non-governmental organizations, enterprises and media, the government is more trusted by the public during the epidemic. 67% of the people believed that the government should pay more attention to the protection of peoples lives under the epidemic situation.
