Mourning for Professor Yang Hongnian

Yang Hongnian, the founder of Beijing Philharmonic Chorus, a famous conductor and music educator in China, and a lifelong academic member of the Central Conservatory of music and professor of conducting department, died in Beijing at 13:55 on July 26, 2020 at the age of 86.

Professor Yang Hongnian founded the Beijing Philharmonic Chorus in 1983. For more than 30 years, he has led the chorus to sing all over the world and won dozens of awards in important competitions at home and abroad.

Professor Yang Hongnians unique performing art and his attainments in chorus training are highly admired by experts at home and abroad, and he is praised as a master who really masters the secrets of chorus art internationally. His life is a life of dedication and struggle for Chinese chorus.
