Ag600 large fire fighting / water rescue amphibious aircraft

In order to meet the urgent needs of forest fire fighting and water rescue, ag600 aircraft is the first large-scale special purpose civil aircraft independently developed according to the airworthiness regulations of civil aviation of China. It is an important aviation equipment urgently needed in the construction of national emergency rescue system.

Ag600 project was officially launched on September 5, 2009. On July 23, 2016, 001 aircrafts completed the final assembly line in Zhuhai Aviation Industrial Park, Guangdong Province. On December 24, 2017, the first flight on land was successfully realized at Jinwan airport in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. On October 20, 2018, the first water flight was successfully completed at Zhanghe airport in Jingmen, Hubei Province.

Rizhao shanzihe airport is the first land airport for ag600 to fly on the sea, with a flight area of 4C and a runway length of 2600m. The take-off and landing zone is located near Qingdao.

On July 5, July 10, July 13, July 17, July 19 and July 23, Qingdao MSA issued seven flight experiment navigation warnings, prohibiting all ships from entering the 8:00 connection area.

Ag600 will comprehensively explore the technology and method of sea flight test, test the hydrodynamic performance and surface control characteristics of the aircraft, check the working conditions of various systems of the aircraft in the marine environment, and collect the flight data at sea, so as to provide support for the follow-up related work. At the same time, in view of the corrosion protection problems caused by high salinity and high humidity in the sea, the anti-corrosion effect of aircraft will also be evaluated.

According to the plan, 2020 is a crucial year for the development of ag600 project, and also a key year for realizing the general goal of completing detailed design and drawing, realizing the first flight at sea, and fully developing component manufacturing. (end)
