Hua Mulan to be withdrawn in North America

Disney said on Thursday that theater closures and production shutdowns during the global new crown epidemic have caused the company to make many adjustments to its film release plans.

Over the past few months, it has become clear that there is enormous uncertainty in film distribution during this global health crisis. Today, it means that we will suspend the release of Mulan after we have assessed how we can effectively present the film to global audiences, a Walt Disney Studio spokesman said in a statement on Thursday.

It is the fourth time Disney has delayed the release of Mulan, which was originally scheduled for release on March 27.

Mulan is currently not on Disneys new release schedule, which means the release of the film will be delayed indefinitely. The company also delayed the release dates of Three Star Wars movies and four Avatar sequels by one year.

Disney shares fell 0.76 percent to $118.12 on Thursday.
