The prosecution applied to postpone the case until October 6 for further police investigation, including the seizure of surveillance video clips in Wan Chai and the inspection of Tang Yingjies motorcycle, according to Dongwang. During the postponement of the case, Tang Yingjie must be remanded to custody.

According to the report, the chief judge of the West Kowloon Magistracy, Mr so Wai Tak, is one of the six magistrates appointed by the chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mrs Carrie Lam, to hear cases endangering national security.
