New Oxford Research: new crown long-term global dormancy or not from China

Dr. Tom Jefferson, senior associate professor at Oxford Universitys Center for evidence-based medicine (CEBM), said there was growing evidence that the new coronavirus had appeared elsewhere before it appeared in Asia. The Oxford University study also suggests that the new coronavirus may hide around the world and be activated in specific circumstances, rather than originating in China.

Dr. Jefferson pointed out that it was important to study how the virus originated and mutated. He believes that the new coronavirus is not only transmitted through droplets, but also through facilities such as sewage systems or public toilets. Now there is a lot of evidence that virus exists in sewage and there is the possibility of fecal transmission.

Dr. Jefferson said the outbreak at the meat processing plant did not conform to the theory of respiratory transmission, possibly because the infected person did not wash their hands properly. These epidemic areas need to be investigated one by one, and the research in this area is not enough. Researchers are taking environmental samples for in vivo testing.
