 Jim Chanos: still short Tesla

Chanos said that while Tesla is expected to grow in various ways in the future, in fact, the companys growth rate has slowed significantly.

Chanos pointed out that the companys revenue growth is likely to be flat for the sixth consecutive quarter, adding that Tesla is not a market leader in electric vehicle batteries or autonomous driving.

Chanos added that the company is a great barometer of peoples views on companies and speculation, because people see Tesla as they want to see it.

Teslas share price has risen by more than 138% this year and about 90% this quarter alone. Liquidity measures by major central banks have emboldened investors.
