In the U.S. equipment system, p-8 is mainly used to monitor the sea targets. If monitoring the land targets near the sea, a larger professional synthetic aperture radar needs to be installed. For strategic reconnaissance of land targets, most of them use Global Hawk UAV, E-8 battlefield surveillance aircraft, U-2 reconnaissance aircraft, RC-135 series and EP-3 series reconnaissance aircraft. Lack of stealth fighter

Fighter aircraft has always been a key development model of the Indian air force, playing a major role in seizing air control rights. Historically, India was one of the first Asian countries to equip with three generations of aircraft. The most advanced fighter currently in service in the Indian air force is still the SU-30MKI. This model is a preliminary attempt of Russia to improve the third generation aircraft (called the fourth generation aircraft in Russia). As a project launched in the 1990s, SU-30MKIs avionics and airborne weapons have gradually fallen behind, which makes it difficult to fight against the third-generation semi fighter aircraft using active phased array radar and long-range air-to-air missiles, and even more unable to fight against the fourth generation aircraft with stealth capability. Experts said that the Rafale fighter introduced by India will become a more realistic threat. Although it is delivered to the Indian air force, it is still training in France and may be officially listed in the near future. But it can not form combat capability in a short period of time. The aircraft is equipped with advanced active phased array radar and long-range meteor air-to-air missile. It uses some stealth technology (but it is not known whether the gust exported to India has this capability), but it still belongs to the category of the third generation aircraft. Overall, the biggest weakness of the Indian Air Force fighter fleet is that it is not equipped with four generations of stealth capable aircraft. Some time ago, only 100 domestic advanced medium-sized fighters in the 450 fighter purchase list released by the Indian air force were considered as the fourth generation aircraft, but the aircraft is still in the stage of conceptual design, and the equipment force is far away.

Air defense is not systematic

In some third world countries, the weakness of air force is compensated by ground air defense system. Indias air defences, however, are not even as good. At present, Indias air defense equipment is purchased from many countries, which is difficult to form a system, and has not yet been equipped with a long-range ground to air missile system. In addition to the Soviet s-75 and s-125 in the 1960s, the main force of Indian air defense forces is still the blue sky medium range air defense system developed by India. The system is believed to be a replica of the Cube (NATO called sam-6) developed by the Soviet Union in the 1960s.

Obviously, India realized that this kind of air defense system was difficult to handle, so it introduced Israels spade medium range air defense missile system. The system uses ground launched Derby air-to-air missile and Python - 5 air-to-air missile, and uses advanced phased array radar as fire control radar, but the range is relatively short. In addition, there are problems in the integration of spade air defense system and Indias own air defense system. In addition, India is also purchasing the national advanced surface to air missile system of the United States. This kind of system sounds tall, but actually it is also a medium range air defense missile system. The missiles used are mainly the ground launched aim-120 air-to-air missile and aim-9 rattlesnake missile, as well as the improved sea sparrow. The design concept and performance are equivalent to spade. But delivery will take time. The bigger question is how India can integrate air defense equipment from different countries. In the aspect of long-range ground air defense system, India is basically blank at present. Although India has developed its own advanced air defense interceptor and earth interceptor capable of anti missile interception in the middle section, and is purchasing Russias s S-400 long-range air defense system, the above systems are either not in service or are still under improvement. However, the air defense network without long-range air defense system is easily dismembered by the other side.
