Liang Junxi was sentenced to one years imprisonment for the crime of using influence to take bribes, according to the criminal ruling of the second instance of Guangdong High Court published on May 27 by China judicial documents.com.

Liang Junxi used Mao Rongkais influence. Before that, Mao Rongkai, the official of Luoma department, was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison for bribery.

According to the ruling, Liang Junxi was originally a driver of the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection. From July 2001 to February 2006, Liang worked in the motorcade of the general office of the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection. His main responsibility was to drive official staff buses. Since February 2006, Liang Junxis driving work has made a leap: in that month, Mao Rongkai was promoted from Secretary of HUAIJI County Party committee of Zhaoqing City to member of the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Liang Junxi was arranged to serve as the full-time driver of Mao Rongkai, whose main job is to serve and guarantee Mao Rongkais working vehicles.

Finally, Liang Junxi worked as a full-time driver for Mao Rongkai for 10 years. The court heard and found out: from February 2006 to August 2016, Liang Junxi used Maos influence as a full-time driver of Mao Rongkai to help Chen (deal with another case) on water conservancy project of Taishan Marine Fishery Bureau of Jiangmen City through the convenience of Zhang and other national staff, and received a total of 80000 yuan in cash from Chen.

In February 2017, the Discipline Inspection Commission of Guangdong Province released a message that Mao Rongkai was double opened. On November 6, 2018, Shenzhen intermediate peoples court found out: from 2002 to 2016, Mao Rongkai used his position as the head and Secretary of HUAIJI County, Zhaoqing City, member and Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Secretary of Jiangmen municipal Party committee to seek interests for others, directly or through his close relatives to accept bribes from others. In the first instance, Mao Rongkai was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months of fixed-term imprisonment for the crime of bribery and was also sentenced to The fine is 1 million yuan, and the stolen money from bribery is 3.23 million yuan and 580000 Hong Kong dollars.

Half a year later, on May 14, 2019, the first instance of Shenzhen intermediate peoples court found that Liang Junxi constituted the crime of taking bribes with influence, and sentenced him to one years imprisonment and a fine of 100000 yuan; he recovered 80000 yuan of stolen money from Liang Junxis taking bribes according to law and turned it over to the state treasury.

After the first trial, Liang Junxi refused to appeal. Subsequently, the second instance of Guangdong High Court ruled to maintain the original judgment.
