Wuhan womens nucleic acid positive expert after going to Chengdu: exclusion of infection in Wuhan

It is understood that Xu, a 46 year old female from Deyang, Sichuan Province, lives in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Xu was in Wuhan sixth hospital on April 12, Tongji Hospital of Wuhan University on April 18 and 21, Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of science and technology on April 30, and nucleic acid test was carried out in Wuhan aidikang medical laboratory on May 20, all of which were negative. On June 3, Xu once again went to Wuhan Tongji Hospital for nucleic acid and serum antibody tests, in which nucleic acid test results were negative, IgM negative and IgG positive.

At 17:26 on June 5, Xu took the train, arrived in Chengdu at 12:38 on June 6, then transferred to Deyang by train, and went to Chengdu by private vehicle on June 7. On June 7, 8, 11, 12, 15 and 16, Xu went to the outpatient departments of hepatobiliary surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery, gynecology and so on in many hospitals in Chengdu. On June 18, in the pre hospital screening, it was found that the new coronavirus nucleic acid test was positive, and there was no other abnormal symptoms. The patient was diagnosed as asymptomatic infection.

During his stay in Han Dynasty, Xu had done nucleic acid tests in provincial and ministerial hospitals for many times, and the results were all negative, and IgG was positive. 12 days after leaving for Chengdu, the result of nucleic acid test was positive. In response to this situation, the reporter of Changjiang Daily interviewed Professor Zhang Jinnong, director of emergency department and doctoral supervisor of Peking Union Medical College Affiliated to Huazhong University of science and technology.

According to Zhang, the possibility of new coronavirus infection in Wuhan was basically ruled out. In her case, there are three possibilities: first, during the journey to Chengdu or in the local hospital, she has contact with the asymptomatic infected person, after breathing, the virus is adsorbed on the respiratory tract for a short time, because the patient has been infected, the autoimmunity has been trained, and there is antibody protection, the virus is difficult to replicate in the lung, will not come on, and the virus will be quickly removed or inactivated by the body; second, the nucleus The results of acid test may be false-positive. PCR test is based on gene amplification to detect a specific gene fragment. It is not surprising that false-positive occurs. Third, the intestinal tract carries virus gene fragments that have lost the activity of infection, which contaminates the respiratory tract mucosa through fecal oral transmission. Studies have shown that the inactivated viral gene fragments are not infectious, but can exist for a long time in the stool.

Professor Zhang reminded the local people to do a good job in personal protection when they go to other places; especially when they go to the hospital, they should wear (prepare) masks, keep the distance, pay attention to hand hygiene, and wash their hands with soap or hand sanitizer after defecation.
