Estee Lauder executives plan to hire more black employees, collaborate more with black companies and expand diversified training programs, Bloomberg reported. According to Bloomberg, William Lauder, the groups executive chairman, and Fabrizio Freda, its chief executive, said in a memo to employees that some actions will take effect immediately and others will be implemented one by one in the future.

In addition, over the next three years, the company will contribute to the National Association of colored people (NAACP) and other organizations defending racial equality, which will increase to $10 million.

At the same time, Sephora, a beauty chain retailer, has promised that 15% of its store space will be dedicated to beauty brands created by black people in the future, and will help these brands negotiate investment to better expand their business.

In addition, the company also said it would start the internal incubation program accelerate from next year to tap more brands created by people of color. Artemis Patrick, Sephoras Chief Commodities officer, said the companys initiatives are aimed at diversifying its supply chain and ensuring that black entrepreneurs have a better platform for development.
