According to the report, the incident occurred in Boyd East Street, downtown Los Angeles. Los Angeles Fire Department has sent 230 firefighters to the rescue, and the streets near the incident have been blocked.

Live video shows smoke and flames visible miles away. By 7:45 p.m. local time, most of the flames had been put out, according to the Los Angeles Times.

At least 10 firefighters were injured, the Los Angeles Fire Department said. Local government departments upgraded the incident to a major emergency at 6:36 p.m. on the 16th.

On twitter, Los Angeles Mayor Eric garcetti said he was watching the situation and was with firefighters.
