Among the new cases on the same day, 377 occurred in Daegu, and the number of confirmed cases in Seoul, Busan and other places continued to increase. At present, more than 60% of the confirmed cases are related to the Xintiandi church. More than 80% of the confirmed cases are concentrated in Daegu and Northern Qinghai.

More than 300 military doctors and more than 1000 soldiers have been involved in epidemic prevention and control in Daegu and other places, South Koreas Ministry of Defense said Tuesday. It plans to postpone part of military training and mobilize military resources as much as possible on the premise of ensuring the availability of military medical resources.

As of the morning of the 2nd, 28 officers and soldiers and related personnel had been reported to have been infected, and more than 9700 were in isolation.

In addition, South Koreas deputy prime minister and planning and finance minister Hong Nanji said in Parliament the same day that in order to support the fight against the epidemic, the South Korean government plans to submit an additional budget to Congress this week, which will exceed 6.2 trillion won.

Since the sudden increase of confirmed cases makes it more difficult to make statistics, South Korean officials changed the mechanism of epidemic release from twice a day to once a day.
