Guoxing 1 cargo ship sank in Japanese waters 7 Chinese crew members missing

At 22:17 on February 29, Guoxing 1 informed the Japanese side that it had collided with Japanese fishing boat bafumaru about 12 kilometers east of the fishing port in liusuo village, Aomori County, Japan, and its hull was flooded. Guoxing 1 sank at 22:35. One of the 14 crew members was rescued and 13 were missing, 7 of whom were Chinese.

The Consulate General launched the emergency response mechanism as soon as possible, established contact with relevant departments of Japan, obtained information, and required relevant units such as Japan Maritime Security Office to fully carry out search and rescue.

As of 10:45 on March 1, Japan has sent six aircraft, six patrol boats and dozens of rescue personnel to carry out search and rescue tasks. At present, some floating objects are found in the sea area, but it is uncertain whether they are related to Guoxing 1.
