Novel coronavirus pneumonia was introduced into class B infectious diseases in January 20, 2020 and was managed according to class A infectious diseases. Up to 24 in January 31st, 11791 cases were reported and 259 died.
In the same period, filariasis was not reported in class C infectious diseases, while 1157254 cases and 114 deaths were reported in the other 10 class C infectious diseases. The top three diseases reported were influenza, other infectious diarrhea and hand, foot and mouth disease, accounting for 98% of the total reported cases of class C infectious diseases. Winter and spring are the high incidence seasons of respiratory infectious diseases such as influenza. Since December 2019, all provinces in the country have successively entered the winter influenza season. The level of influenza activities has been rising, and they have reached the peak in succession, leading to the incidence and report of class C infectious diseases mainly influenza. At present, the national level of influenza activity has fallen, and it is expected that the level of influenza activity will fall further in the future.
