A novel coronavirus pneumonia in Qinhuangdao, Tianjin, a 6 year old male and a resident of Tianjin, Xiqing, is now living in Li Qi Zhuang Street, Qinhuangdao. The parents worked in Wuhan from January 14 to 15 and returned to Tianjin on January 15. On January 21, the family drove a private car to Qinhuangdao to celebrate the new year. From January 29 to February 6, the patient and his father were successively diagnosed as confirmed cases in Qinhuangdao third hospital and hospitalized for treatment. On February 19, the father and son were discharged from the hospital. On that day, a family of three returned to Tianjin by private car. Health departments in Tianjin and Hebei have been monitoring their health. The neighborhood committee shall conduct home isolation management on their family members and report their temperature daily.

The mother of the patient had runny nose on February 26. On February 27, she drove her private car to the fever clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine. She was diagnosed as a suspected case, and the nucleic acid test result was negative, so she was isolated for observation and treatment. Then, the CDC of Xiqing District collected samples of the patients and their fathers. After testing, the samples of throat swabs of the patients were negative, the samples of anal swabs were positive, and the samples of throat swabs and anal swabs of the patients fathers were negative.
