Abe: subsidy support will be provided to parents affected by the suspension of primary and secondary school students

Shinzo Abe stressed that the purpose of temporary suspension of primary and secondary schools is to eliminate the risk of collective infection among students in schools, Kyodo News Agency reported Tuesday. Because of the sudden suspension of primary and secondary school students, many parents need to ask for leave to go home and take care of their children, facing the dilemma of income reduction. Mr Abe said a second round of emergency response would be developed within 10 days, with funds allocated from the budget reserve in 2019 to provide subsidies for parents of primary and secondary school students.

In addition, for enterprises affected by the epidemic and the suspension policy for primary and secondary school students, Abe said that he would also introduce subsidy policies.
