On February 4, on the platform of psychological assistance hotline of central China Normal University of the Ministry of education, Yu Sai, a psychological consultant, received a phone call from a nurse who had just left the night shift. The medical staff fighting in the front line of anti epidemic often have great pressure and nowhere to release. As a consultant, I need to relieve their emotions and calm their hearts through empathy and listening.
This nurse is not the only one who has strengthened the power of war epidemic through psychological counseling. On January 31, central China Normal University officially opened a psychological hotline platform in Wuhan to provide psychological assistance services related to the epidemic to the whole society. Every day, 50-80 consultants can receive psychological help in different places at the same time. One day at most, I gave psychological counseling to 10 people, one by one. Yu Sai said. According to statistics, from January 31 to February 24, the platform has a total service time of 350 hours, 897 consultants and 2984 callers.
In the face of this sudden epidemic, many peoples psychology has been challenged. Ma Hongyu, executive vice president of the school of psychology of central China Normal University, said that for patients and their families, they may suffer from the pain of suffering from the disease; for workers on the front line of fighting against the epidemic, they work with high workload for a long time and are prone to physical and mental fatigue; for ordinary people affected by the epidemic, staying at home for a long time, their emotions are easy to fluctuate. To do a good job of psychological counseling and emotional support for different groups is of great significance to the recovery of personal life, the firm anti epidemic confidence and the maintenance of social stability.
