In accordance with the requirements of the comprehensive working mechanism of joint prevention and control of national epidemic situation, the Civil Aviation Administration urgently organized and coordinated 13 civil aviation charter flights today, delivering nearly 2000 medical personnel and some medical materials from all over the country to Wuhan.

At 10:00 and 13:00 today, Air Chinas two large wide body airliners set out from Beijing Capital International Airport, carrying 668 medical and nursing personnel from six well-known hospitals in Beijing and 28 tons of epidemic prevention materials to Wuhan. This is also the largest single batch transportation of Air China since the outbreak of the epidemic.

A charter plane of China Eastern Airlines also took off from Xian, carrying 133 medical and nursing personnel of the fourth medical team in Shaanxi Province and 3.7 tons of medical materials to Hubei Province. The five chartered flights of China Southern Airlines will also escort more than 700 medical staff and materials from Changchun and Guangzhou to Wuhan this afternoon.

It is understood that six domestic airlines, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Shanhang and Jiangxi airlines, will carry out 13 air charter flights. Nearly 2000 medical staff from 18 medical teams in 9 provinces and regions, including Beijing, Shanghai, Jilin, Shandong, Sichuan, Guangdong, Shaanxi, Jiangxi and Xinjiang, will arrive at Tianhe Airport in Wuhan before tonight and immediately reinforce medical institutions in Hubei.
