In 2008, Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIn, hired Weiner, then 49. During her tenure in Weiner, LinkedIns annual revenue increased from $78 million to more than $7.5 billion, with membership jumping from 33 million to nearly 675 million, LinkedIn said. In 2011, Weiner led the company through an initial public offering. In 2016, Microsoft invested $26 billion to acquire LinkedIn.
