Nurses in the peoples Hospital of Wuhan University recovered 11 days after being isolated at home

Hu Yanming, a reporter from economic observation network, is a nurse in peoples Hospital of Wuhan University. 2019 is her first year to work after graduating from university.

On New Years Eve 2020, she was diagnosed with the new coronavirus, but fortunately, her symptoms were mild, and after 11 days of isolation and virus resistance, she recovered.

On the evening of February 5, a reporter from economic observer.com contacted Jaina and listened to her talk about her experience in the past 11 days.

Jaina summed up the process in four points: resistance, disinfection, medication and maintaining a good attitude. Hope that people who are fighting against the virus can get strength from it.

Heres Janas dictation:

Hello, I am a self-healing patient with new coronavirus infection.

Because the work will contact many patients, in succession, some colleagues were found to be infected. After my colleagues were diagnosed, I also felt sick and often felt weak, so I went to check.

On the morning of January 23, I went to have a CT and a nasopharynx swab test. CT results showed that the lung was ground glass like and viral pneumonia was to be discharged. It almost means I was shot. In the early morning of the next day (January 24), my colleagues in the Department told me that the results of the nasopharynx swab came out, which were two positive results of the new crown. I was diagnosed.

That night, I stayed up all night thinking about when I was infected. I blamed myself. Before that, I always had confidence in my resistance, but I was infected and really depressed. Im scared to think Ill die.

The next morning I went to work and went to the emergency department to find a doctor. He saw my film and said that the focus was small and the clinical symptoms were not obvious. He suggested that I isolate myself at home and take medicine. He gave me oseltamivir, baifule, abidor and Lianhua Qingwen capsules. Tell me: eat well, sleep well and have a good attitude. Looking back, these three points are very important.

The hospital is short of beds, and I dont need to occupy resources. Besides, I live near the hospital. I live alone on weekdays, and avoid cross infection with other people. Isolation is particularly important.

January 24 is new years Eve and January 25 is the Spring Festival. Im not a native of Wuhan. Our department is usually busy, so in the early stage of the outbreak, I agreed with my family not to go back home for the Spring Festival. After the diagnosis, they didnt dare to tell their parents, and they didnt doubt anything.

After the beginning of isolation, the psychology was very painful. Fortunately, the symptoms of virus infection are relatively mild, mainly fatigue, poor resistance, and often easily tired. After a few steps, you will feel out of breath. After a few minutes of opening the window, you will feel your throat is very dry and your nose is airtight. And taking medicine will produce adverse reactions, these days are the most difficult.

At this time, I would chat with my good friends to distract my attention, and I would like to wait for myself to open up. Colleagues and leaders also care about every day, whether they are short of things, how they are in a state, etc. Im a new employee in the hospital. I have a lot to learn. Im tired on weekdays. Take this as one of the frustrations in your work!

Adhere to eating on time, regular work and rest. Get up at seven or eight every day, start cooking, and then wash. Eat and clean. At noon, I will cook and exercise after dinner. I also want to read, but I cant calm down. Its very hard to stay at home. I wish I could go to the front line when Im well.

Four or five days later, on January 28, I felt that I was getting better and went to the hospital for reexamination. Recheck CT shows normal, Im very happy, but I didnt expect that nucleic acid test is still positive. At that time, my voice was still very dry and uncomfortable, which was expected.

After checking the normal CT, I will continue to go home for isolation, but at this time, I feel much better and my body has been recovering. Every day cooking, disinfection, exercise daily things have also been adhere to.

Six days later, on February 3, I finally made up my mind to face up to the reality and go for another review. At this time, I dont have any clinical symptoms. Even if I am positive, Im not afraid to fight with it. Pay attention to isolation and dont affect others.

On February 4, when I went to get the result, I felt like a senior three looking at the ranking. I dare not face it.

Fortunately, its overcast.

Looking back on the long 11 days, I think the virus is not so terrible, but its infectivity. I do not go out alone at home, will not pass on to others, cut off the transmission channel. Next, I fight against the virus:

First: resistance. The immune system is fighting against the virus. How can we do without enough food. Eat on time and rest regularly. What I eat must be nutritious and healthy. I have survived chicken soup, fish soup, ribs soup, millet porridge and Babao porridge I am used to drinking a bottle of hot milk in the morning. I can also eat more eggs and custard depending on my preference. In my spare time, I also wash clothes and mop the floor, clean the house, practice yoga, and then Ill take exercise.

Second: kill the virus on the surface of objects in the home. I will mop the floor and wipe the table with diluted 84 disinfectant, and spray the quilt and clothes with 75% alcohol. Do it every day. Open windows and ventilate at least twice a day for half an hour. Keep warm and keep cool. If the weather is fine, lets have a sun. Take a hot bath in the evening to kill the virus. Wash your hands frequently (very important). Do you know how to use hand sanitizer?

Third: drug treatment. After the diagnosis, the oral drugs taken at home are: oseltamivir (adverse reactions: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.), baifule (nausea, diarrhea, headache, etc.), abidol (nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, etc.), Lianhua Qingwen capsule. According to the suggestions of netizens, I also ate Xiaochaihu granules (mainly for my symptoms: bitter mouth, dry throat, etc.). For me, some drugs really make me feel a little sick after drinking, even dizzy. Then Ill have hot water and rest. Itll get better in an hour or so.

Fourth: mentality. Dont panic blindly. Panic is useless. Calm down and face it rationally and actively.

(function() {(window. Slotbydup = window. Slotbydup| []). Push ({ID: u5811557, container: ssp_, async: true});)) (); what I want to tell you is: when I suspect that I am a virus carrier and cant be diagnosed, I should pay attention to isolation, protect others and protect myself. I want to feel my body changes, think about the reasons and take measures: if my stomach is not comfortable, have a cold, drink some hot water to try; if my headache is weak, do I play mobile phone for a long time, lie in bed for a long time Maybe its not a new crown. Dont be suspicious. The new crown is not so terrible for most healthy people without basic diseases. Even if unfortunately infected, depending on their own strong immunity, maybe it will be better in a few days. But we cant pass it on to others. We must do a good job of isolation. To win this battle, everyone is making their own efforts. For us, we should not spread rumors or believe them, and protect ourselves. Winter will surely pass and spring will come.
