According to media reports, Li Lanjuans team, based on preliminary tests, showed in vitro cell experiments that: (1) compared with the untreated control group, abidol can effectively inhibit the coronavirus by 60 times, and significantly inhibit the pathological effect of the virus on the cell. (2) Compared with the control group, the inhibition efficiency of darunavir was 280 times.
An expert from the medical department of Peking University pointed out that abidol is an anti influenza virus drug, a virus fusion inhibitor, which can inhibit neuraminidase, prevent the fusion of the envelope and cell membrane of the virus, so that the virus can not enter the cell.
The reporter found that abidol is an antiviral drug with independent intellectual property rights in China. It was developed by the Institute of Medical Virology of Wuhan University in 2009. At that time, it was mainly used for early treatment of patients with influenza A virus infection and broke the market monopoly of Tamiflu, an anti influenza drug in the United States.
According to abidol production enterprises, since the outbreak, enterprises have successively received requests from clinical medical institutions in Wuhan, Beijing and other places to add abidol drugs.
Another drug mentioned by Academician Li Lanjuan, darunavir, is an anti HIV drug. An authoritative AIDS expert pointed out that dulunavir was approved to be listed in China in July 2018 and is the most powerful protease inhibitor at present. Protease inhibitors can combine with HIV protease catalytic sites to interfere with the assembly process of the virus. Darunavir, in combination with the pharmacokinetic synergist corbistad and other antiretroviral drugs, can be used in the treatment of AIDS patients.
Academician Li Lanjuan suggested that the above two drugs should be included in the national health and Health Commissions diagnosis and treatment plan for pneumonia with new coronavirus infection (trial version 6).
The above AIDS authoritative experts pointed out that darunavir in a certain concentration and hypertension, diabetes and other treatment drugs combined use, may produce toxic side effects, in other words, may increase adverse reactions. He believes that the inhibitory effect of darunavir on the new coronavirus has been verified at the cellular level, and it can be used in a small scale in an emergency, but it should be carefully written into the national diagnosis and treatment plan.
Chen Zuobin, member of Academician Li Lanjuans team, leader of Zhejiang aid Hubei severe treatment group and vice president of Zhejiang University First Hospital, reminded that these two drugs are prescription drugs, and patients must take them under the guidance of doctors.
Academician Li Lanjuan said that according to the preliminary test, in vitro cell experiments showed that: (1) compared with the untreated control group, abidol can effectively inhibit the coronavirus by 60 times, and significantly inhibit the pathological effect of the virus on cells. (2) Compared with the control group, the inhibition efficiency of darunavir was 280 times.
