Dell is trying to make its laptops more attractive to iPhone users, it said, saying it will release software that will allow iPhone users to wirelessly mirror their mobile screens to Dell laptops.
The feature will be launched in the next few months as an update to Dells mobileconnect software, which has added similar features to Android phones in 2018. The update will also allow Dell users to drag photos, videos and other files from iPhone to PC. The software update will be available this spring for Dell XPS, Inspiron, vostro and Alienware laptops running Windows 10.
Before that, iPhone users using mobileconnect could receive notifications and send messages. Dell said users have sent more than 150 million calls and text messages through the software, half of them via Apple devices.
Dell today released a new 2020 xps13 notebook with a full screen design, as well as a new latitude 9510 notebook.
