The first phase of Shanghai factory has been completed, the ground and road have been completely paved, the lawn around the factory has been planted in place, and many Tesla cars are parked around the complex building.
However, perhaps the most impressive is the plants phase II project area, which is responsible for the production of battery modules, which is progressing equally rapidly. The exterior of the battery production facility is about to be completed, with almost all the second phase roofs and walls completed. This battery production facility is significantly smaller than the vehicle assembly facility.
The second phase of the project will start at the end of the third quarter of 2019, and the latest progress is particularly impressive. At the beginning of September, there was only one piece of land being leveled in the whole phase II area, but 12 weeks later, the exterior of the huge production facilities is now nearly completed. Its also amazing given that Tesla has been busy debugging the model 3 production line during this time.
In addition to the rapid progress of the second phase of the project, more and more models 3 made in China are also seen in the parking lot between the complex building and the battery production facility, with about 100 models parked in the parking lot. Tesla has been licensed by the Chinese government for mass production, and the plant is likely to produce more model 3. (small)
