According to CNPCs official website, Liu Hongbin is a member of the Party group, deputy general manager and non-executive director of the company.

Liu Hongbin, a veteran of CNPC, has more than 30 years of working experience in Chinas oil and gas industry.

In June 1995, Liu Hongbin was the chief engineer of Tuha oil exploration and development headquarters, the deputy general manager of Tuha Oilfield Company in July 1999, the director of Tuha oil exploration and development headquarters in July 2000, the general manager of planning and Planning Department of CNPC in March 2002, the director of planning and Planning Department of CNPC in September 2005, and employed as the director of planning and Planning Department of CNPC in June 2007 Vice president of CNPC, concurrently general manager and Secretary of the Party committee of the sales branch in November 2007, and changed to general manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of the sales branch in June 2009.
