Yemeni army statement accused Hussein armed forces of repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement

The statement said that Husseins armed forces violated the ceasefire agreement many times in the past year, including shelling the residential area of hodeida and firing, resulting in 217 civilian deaths and 2152 injuries.

Shortly after the signing of the ceasefire agreement, the two sides accused each other of breaking it. In October this year, the United Nations ceasefire monitoring team in hodeida set up five ceasefire monitoring points in the urban area of hodeida. Yemeni government forces and Hussein armed forces sent liaison personnel to these monitoring points to jointly supervise the ceasefire.

In September 2014, the armed forces of Hussein captured Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, and then occupied Southern Yemen. In March 2015, Saudi Arabia and other countries launched a military operation code named decisive storm against the Hussein armed forces.
